Gambia country report

In Gambia there are 1.5 million people. There are 53000 Deaf and hard of hearing people. Only 2000 use sign language.

In 2009 in a local college interpreter training and later this helped to provided training for the deaf students in regular education.

We try to have the government to ratify the UNCRPD and to have a Disability law passed.
