European participants meet at WASLI regional meeting

During the general meeting today the WASLI regions were asked to meet and discuss the priorities for the coming four years for their region.

Marco Nardi, the current WASLI representative for Europe, led the meeting and introduced Stuart Anderson as the new regional representative for Europe. At this meeting the persons present supported Stuart Anderson as the new representative. Stuart explained that he will work closely together with efsli to see how we can work efficiently together and to avoid to do double work.

Participants mentioned that they would like to see an increase in European membership to WASLI, cooperation with efsli, involvement of deaf interpreters and give attention to those countries which are less developed in for example training programmes in Europe.

Stuart will draft a summary of the meeting and send it to all the participants and European members of WASLI.
