Australia country report

In 1991 the national interpreter association was established. We have 310 members and 6 regional branches. We have a national accreditation body. There are currently 350 interpreters actively working. In Australia there are 22 million people.

We have an annual conference which is attended on average by 200 - 250 people. We see more video remote interpreting in Australia.

(note: most of the information on Australia was covered in Jemina Napier's presentation yesterday)
