USA country report

RID (www.rid.org) was established in 1964 and we have approx. 15000 members. We have a certification system, which is constantly revised, to improve the standards for deaf persons in USA.

There is a lot of development in the USA, especially in the area of video remote interpreting. Next to that we also do a lot of community interpreting.

We use a lot of social media: facebook, twitter, etc. We also have many publication and information available that can be found on our website.
